What does a sound measurement actually do for you?

1. Voorbereiding
Start een nieuwe WhatsApp gesprek met Akoestiek Label. Zorg voor een stille ruimte. Vraag, indien er andere mensen aanwezig zijn, of ze even stil willen zijn en sluit de deuren en ramen.
2. Maak een geluidsopname
Door het icoontje van de microfoon even ingedrukt te houden, verschijnt vlak boven je vinger een slotje. Veeg omhoog naar het slotje zodat de opname hands-free gedaan kan worden.
3. Klap in je handen
Leg je telefoon op de hoek van de tafel met de microfoon over de rand. Je telefoon kan dan het geluid zo vrij mogelijk opnemen. Klap éénmaal hard in je handen, en laat het geluid zo'n 5 seconden uitsterven.
4. Advies op maat
Verstuur ons de opname, eventueel samen met een foto van de ruimte. Ook willen we graag weten wat de afmetingen zijn en de hoogte van het plafond. Wij geven je daarna zo snel mogelijk advies op maat!
What do we measure from your sound recording?
A reverberation measurement is an acoustic measurement that simply measures how long it takes for a sound to fade away, such as a hand clap. Specifically, it charts how many seconds it takes for the sound to become 60 decibels quieter.
