Acoustics and insulation
Sustainable polyester wool with both insulating and sound-absorbing properties. Polyester wool, like PetFelt, is made from recycled PET bottles. It's increasingly used as an alternative to rock wool or glass wool.
Making a beautiful wall with PetFelt panels, or working with Baux tiles? Make that application extra absorbent with PetWol. The white variant is also perfectly suited as a material in public spaces.
How do I use PetWol?
PetWol has a soft core and doesn't cause itching or irritation like glass wool does. This makes it a pleasant product to work with. We recommend first placing a wooden frame against the intended wall. Make sure the spacing and battens match the dimensions of your panels. Then fill the cavity with PetWol. Use our acoustic mounting glue for direct bonding to the wall or ceiling. Then screw or glue the acoustic tiles or PetFelt panels into place.
These are your options
The fire-safe PetWol is available in 2 sizes: 120 x 100cm and 60 x 100cm. The polyester wool comes in 2 thicknesses: 20 mm and 40 mm. The density is 40kg/m3. You can choose black or white PetWol, depending on where you're using the material.
