Made from Basotect melamine foam
All Akomo products are made from Basotect melamine foam. This soft melamine foam absorbs sound waves and reduces reverberation by up to 90%. This depends on the space and the placement of the acoustic panels. This material can also be made in any colour and shape, giving you an enormous range of choice.

Flocking technology
All products are finished in colour using flocking technology. Flock consists of tiny coloured fibres applied to an adhesive layer. This technique is comparable to how an animal's fur retains warmth. They stand upright on the adhesive layer and capture extra sound in the space between them. By choosing a coloured panel or lighting element, you also choose improved sound absorption.
