Sound-dampening
The importance of good acoustics is often underestimated — spaces where sound echoes don't do wonders for your state of mind. Akupanel works wonders for the acoustics: the recycled felt on the back provides sound dampening, so that sound is absorbed even in spaces with high ceilings and bare walls. It's also ideal to hang the panels behind the television — it looks great, but it also contributes to an ultimate sound experience. And sleeping housemates or family members will hear considerably less of the TV.

Easy installation
An advantage of the Akupanel is that all the wooden slats are already attached to a felt backing. So it's simply a matter of mounting them. Choose the wall fixing that suits your wall type, then screw the panels directly into the wall. If you want to install the panels on the ceiling, fix them directly into the ceiling joists. And if you're ready for a change, or moving house? Akupanel easily moves with you to find a new spot on the wall or ceiling.

Want to cut the panels to size? They're supplied as standard at 260 x 52 cm but are easy to customise. That way you can quickly cut out a notch for a wall socket, or cut the panels at the perfect diagonal for a sloped ceiling. They can also be mounted next to and on top of each other for a seamless end result. Want to add or change something later? That's made easy too — they can simply be removed and remounted on the wall or ceiling.

Environmentally friendly production
All materials have been chosen with the environment in mind, which also directly ensures sustainability. The wood, for example, comes from certified sustainable sources, and the felt is completely recycled. The panels are crafted with an eye for detail.
